Calendly connection guide

Connect Calendly without copying keys or building a Zapier flow.

MyHealthFollowup connects through Calendly's secure approval screen. Once connected, it can use event, host, location, invitee, timezone, reschedule, and cancellation details to keep emails aligned with each booking.

The setup usually takes a few minutes. When Calendly does not enable real-time webhooks for the connected account, MyHealthFollowup checks for updates every five minutes instead.

Step 1

Create or open your account

Choose Calendly when you create your MyHealthFollowup account, then open the connection section in the dashboard.

Step 2

Choose Connect Calendly

MyHealthFollowup sends you to Calendly's secure approval screen. You do not need to create or paste an API key.

Step 3

Approve the connection

Sign in to the Calendly account you want to use and approve access to the users, event types, scheduled events, and booking updates needed for the integration.

Step 4

Return to the dashboard

Calendly returns you to MyHealthFollowup automatically. The dashboard confirms the connected account and whether updates use webhooks or five-minute polling.

Step 5

Review and send a test

Choose a template, select the event types, hosts, or meeting locations that apply, preview real booking details, and send yourself a test before activating anything.

What gets synced

Booking details for the email journey, not a replacement calendar.

Calendly remains where bookings are created and managed. MyHealthFollowup keeps only the connection and message data needed to evaluate rules, prepare emails, prevent stale sends, and show delivery history.

Account detailsThe Calendly account, organization, hosts, and event types needed to confirm the connection and build filters.
Booking detailsEvent and invitee IDs, start and end times, status, event type, host, and reschedule or cancellation links used by automations.
Invitee detailsThe invitee name, email address, and timezone available from the booking so the correct message can be prepared.
Meeting detailsThe supplied meeting location or link and the invitee timezone used by supported template values.
Campaign audienceInvitees can be reviewed for campaigns, but remain excluded until the business records valid marketing permission in MyHealthFollowup.

Connection safety

The Calendly connection remains separate and revocable.

Calendly authentication uses its approval screen rather than asking for your password.

Access and refresh credentials are stored by the backend and are not exposed in email templates.

You can revoke the connection from Calendly or change providers from connection settings.

Each MyHealthFollowup account uses either Calendly or Cliniko, so rules and recipients do not cross between platforms.

Calendly connection questions

A clear boundary before you approve access.

Do I need a Calendly API key?

No. MyHealthFollowup uses Calendly's OAuth approval flow, so you connect by signing in to Calendly and approving the requested access.

What if my Calendly plan does not allow webhooks?

The connection can continue using polling. New and changed bookings may take up to five minutes to appear, and you can leave the page while MyHealthFollowup waits for them.

Does connecting Calendly change my event types?

No. Calendly remains where you manage event types and bookings. MyHealthFollowup reads the details needed for email automation and does not replace the booking workflow.

Can one account connect both Calendly and Cliniko?

No. Each MyHealthFollowup account uses one booking platform at a time so automations, messages, and campaign audiences stay clearly separated.
